Steve Thum, PTA
Steve graduated from the Harcum College PTA program in 1997. He started his career at the University of Pennsylvania in the outpatient physical therapy department where he specialized in the treatment of athletes from the high school to college level. Steve also practiced in a specialized shoulder program and helped to design the anterior cruciate ligament and shoulder rehabilitation program used today at Penn. He came to Premier in 2007 and has helped to develop the student volunteer program and has been a clinical instructor for many PTA students. Steve has lectured on topics ranging from ACL and shoulder rehabilitation to the role of a PTA at area colleges and high schools. Bike riding, working out and playing drums with his twin sons are some of his favorite activities.
Renee Kerber, MSPT
Renee graduated from Villanova University in 1999 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology and a Minor in Spanish. In 2002, she received her Master’s of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Widener University. Renee has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedics but has experience working in an array of settings with various age groups. She has been with Premier Rehabilitation Centers since 2003 and is currently the site manager for the Phoenixville and Limerick offices.
Rebecca Detweiler, DPT
Rebecca graduated from Messiah College in 1998 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology and a Minor in Psychology. In 2002 she graduated from Arcadia University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Rebecca has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedics and has worked with a diverse population. She enjoys being able to provide manual therapy to patients as a means of achieving goals and finds her strength in treating the shoulder. Rebecca also enjoys spending time outdoors, photography, cooking and baking, and mentoring young teens.
Peggy O’Reilly, MAPT
Peggy graduated from Oakland University in Rochester, MI in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She went on to receive an advanced Masters degree in P.T. with an emphasis on neurological rehabilitation. Since that time she has worked in several states and clinical areas including in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation as well as wound care, with her most recent experiences in out-patient orthopedic rehab. Peggy is married with three children and a dog and enjoys golf, cooking, and travel in her spare time.
Robert Zekonis, MPT
Bob graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in 1990. He started his career at Pennsylvania Rehabilitation, an outpatient orthopedic center where he worked with a full range of orthopedic conditions. Bob sat for and passed the orthopedic specialist examination, became certified in functional capacity assessments and developed and ran the companies functional capacity program during his time there. He came to Premier in 2001 and manages the outpatient clinics as well as being a full time clinician at the Paoli center.
John Sartor, PTA
John attended Pennsylvania State University, where he was a member of the Powerlifting Team and competed at a national level. John graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology in 2010 and immediately began working as an Exercise Physiologist in an outpatient physical therapy setting. After a year and a half of working with a large variety of patients, John realized that his goal was to become a Physical Therapy Assistant. John achieved this goal after graduating from Lehigh Carbon Community College and passed the National Board Exam in 2014. He has been working with Premier Rehabilitation Centers since June 2014. In his free time, John enjoys outdoor activities, weightlifting, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
